Video is powerful tool in education and research activities. During Krushi Mahotsav since 2005, JAU is producing Video CDs on modern technologies in agriculture farmers. Looking to the importance and effectiveness of this media three days training on "Video Production Technology" was organized by Directorate of Extension Education, JAU for teachers, scientists and other staff of JAU. Participants of ATMA project of seven districts of Saurashtra also participated. The Extension Education Institute (Govt. of India), Anand provided the training on preparation of story, shooting, editing and final production of video documentaries. The program was inaugurated by Dr. NC Patel, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor with effective speech on need and scope of training. Dr AM Parakhia, DEE explained the ways and means of Transfer of Technologies pertaining to agriculture to farmers and role of video in making it more effective. Mr Pravin Patel well-known as Director, Writer and Producer of Gujarati Films and Documentaries is an Agriculture Graduate and produces agriculture related documentaries, introduced various terminologies of the field and sketched out a path for production of documentaries. Mahesh Patel of EEI and his team inspired the participants to prepared video clips. The productionof the participants was marvelous and displayed for screening. In the validectory function chaired by Dr. ND Bharad, the certificates were given to the participants. Dr Bharad with examples explained the achievements of great people started with a small step.
