EXTENSION ACTIVITIES:
Farmers friendly infrastructure is being developed to enhance implementation of extension programmes
I Exhibition hall of Agril. Engg. & Technology
II Collection of information related to Govt. subsidy on agricultural / machineries / equipment / irrigation systems etc.
III Compilation of latest technologies related to Agril. Engg. in GAU / JAU and in India (suitable to Gujarat).
IV Development of video cassettes library related to:
- Working of important agricultural machines and equipments / models.
- Processing of agricultural products, value addition techniques / models.
- Repair, maintenance and proper setting of the different agricultural machines and equipments.
1. Collection of addresses of important manufacturer /fabricators/ developers of agricultural machines & equipment in Gujarat and in India.
2. Involvement in training and short term courses organized by SSK, FTC, and CAET, Junagadh.
3. Participation in krushi mahostav organized by Govt. of Gujarat.
4. Participation in agril. fair or krushi melas organized by University / NGO / other.
5. Organizing and conducting Technology & Demo. Mela at CAET, JAU, Junagadh.
6. Recent information about indigenous technologies / knowledge.
7. Published a bulletin on research recommendation in Agril. Engg. (1974-2001).
8. Information Brochure of CAET published.
9. Gujarati booklet, " Khedut Upyogi Navintam Krushi Ijneri Sansodhano" published in March,2013.
10. Published a bulletin on research recommendation in Agricultural Engineering (1974-2013).
Apart from the above, extension activities like, lectures to the extension personnel at training centers, radio talk, on farm training, organizing group discussions between the experts and farmers in a view to transfer the technology. Activities like participating in agril. fair, video film show in exhibition hall. Publication of research articles in national and international journal as well as popular articles in local language are being performed.
